Coahuila Government visit to Montreal.

The Coahuila Government delegation visited Canadian companies in Toronto before heading to Montreal.

 

In Montreal, the governor met Thursday with representatives of Trans-Pro Logistics, one of Quebec's most recognized 3PL transportation companies (third-party logistics) in Canada and which already has more than 100 well-known customers in Mexico, "specializing in the NAFTA route, "the director of the ProMéxico office in this city, Gina Márquez, informed Notimex.

 

He explained that Coahuila seeks to diversify its commercial opportunities in other sectors, for example aerospace.

 

In addition to meeting with executives of the Montreal Aerospace Cluster, Riquelme Solís held meetings with leaders of Soucy International Group, a Quebec company that produces and designs recreational vehicle parts and since 2017 already has business partners in the city of Torreón, Coahuila .

 

According to data from ProMéxico in Montreal, in 2016 Coahuila exported to Canada 37 million 639 thousand 775 US dollars, representing 11.6 percent of national exports.

 

The director of ProMéxico in Montreal affirmed that in 2017 trade between Mexico and Quebec exceeded 2.61 billion US dollars, positioning Quebec as the second most important partner of our Mexico among the provinces of Canada.
